Hello it’s Jessica from Tecumseh Curves. What an amazing journey! The past six months have gone by so fast and I have learned so much about myself. I was
able to lose over 100 pounds! I never thought that I would be able to do what I’ve done in such a short period of time.
When you have the right tools and support you can do anything. I can now accept that I am not perfect. Curves Complete has helped me find the true me.
I feel great when others notice how well I’ve done. I love the new ME and things can only get better from here. I have achieved one of my goals. Now it’s time to refocus on my new life and reach for the next set of goals.
I am honored and thankful that Curves gave me the opportunity to blog. From this experience, I found the new me. I also realized that I can help others just as I have been helped. What a great opportunity. Thank you everyone. I wish you the very best. Remember to never give up. There is always the light at the end – you just need to be patient to find it.

Hi it’s Charlee from the Keizer Curves.
I started my Curves Complete journey in March 2012. At that time, I weighed 309 pounds and had severe knee and back pain. I could hardly walk or stand for long periods of time. Initially, I wasn’t able to do every machine on the circuit. After 6 weeks into Curves Complete, I no longer had back pain and had very little knee pain. I also worked up to using every machine on the circuit. I then realized that Curves was the answer I had been looking for all this time. As the weeks went by, the pounds and inches kept falling off. I went from a size 30 jeans to a size 14/16. I thought it would take me a lot longer to get into a size 14/16, so it feels amazing to be here already.
I’ve learned to be happy with every victory – even when the scale doesn’t move like I feel it should. I am healthier now because I was consistent with my workouts and meal plan.
I’ve achieved so much on my journey, but one of my biggest accomplishments is my love for the Curves Circuit with Zumba – I can do it every week without pain.
The last 6 months of my journey have been so meaningful to me. I’m thankful to my Curves Coach Amy, my husband Phil, my family, my friends, and my Curves family at the Keizer Curves for giving me the support and motivation I needed to keep going. As this part of my journey comes to an end I am now at 209 pounds. I’ve lost almost 62 inches and I’ve gone down 11% on my body fat. Thanks Curves Complete for giving me ‘The Power to Amaze Myself’ in this life-long journey.
Charlee’s stats for the past 6 months on Curves Complete:
December 2012 Weight: 245

June 2013 BMI: 35.87

Hello it’s Jessica from Tecumseh Curves. This week I lost 1.7 pounds. I am only .4 pounds away from losing 100 pounds! I was looking back at my older blogs and I can’t believe how much I have changed! I am so much more confident and happier with myself. I was always told that I am beautiful just the way I am, but I never really believed it. Now I can say I am beautiful the way I am. I look back at the person I was and I feel sorry for that girl. She had no idea what could happen in just 11 months. It is SO IMPORTANT to be honest with yourself and to make sure you do what is best for you. I am just beginning my new life and it can only get better! What I am holding in this picture is support from my Curves community. Tecumseh Curves had members and staff signed an inspirational poster for me. So many kind words that I can read every day! Have a great week!

Hi! I’m Karen from Peoria IL Curves and I’ve just completed week 27! You have not seen or heard from me in a weeks because my coach was married and then on her honeymoon. Congrats Kim and Joe!
To recap the weeks, I’ve gone up and down 1 or no pounds or stayed the same, so I think I’m about to go to phase 3. I’m in full control of chocolate cravings and what triggers them. My steps and workouts are increasing. The program comes so natural to me.
I started Curves Complete December 3, 2012 and committed to the program to better my health and to set an example for my 3 children (which they tell me I have). I had said that there is a lot of life to live and I feel I’ve gained a few years and will continue to do so! Starting Curves Complete was like winning the “Life Lottery”!
I am 48 years old now and I’ve lost 39 lbs. and 45.5 in. in 6 months while having an under active thyroid. On my outside: I’ve gone down 3 sizes in jeans, 3 sizes in shirts, 1/2 size in shoes, 1 cup size in bra, the list goes on… On my inside: I found my healthy voice and strengthened my willpower, lowered my BP and cholesterol, strengthened and toned my muscles, and best of all developed good habits with a strategy to stay healthy.
These 6 months of life style modification, learned from Curves Complete, have been the best 6 months of my life! I just want to thank each person who put this program together for all of us girls! I want to personally thank Kim, Della and Cathy for all your coaching skills and personal attention! I thank my Curves sisters for your support and encourage you to continue with Curves Complete. Most of all I thank my loving husband and family throughout this journey!

Hi, it’s Charlee. You know losing weight on the scale is like a coin toss – sometimes you win & sometimes you lose. Well this week luck wasn’t on my side and I gained half of a pound. But on the upside, I worked out 6 days this week. That is something I haven’t done since I originally joined my Curves over 10 years ago. I also did two rounds of Zumba. So, I met my goals without knee or back problems. Another great success is that I can actually fit in a large size pant. I’m finally moving away from the plus size section and into what I call the “normal” side of the clothing store. It’s amazing to know that 15 months ago I was in a 4x and can now fit in a large, which is a size I wore when I was 8 years old – and I’m 33 now. It really shows with that with Curves Complete anyone can gain their life back. Thanks Curves Complete.

Hello it’s Jessica from Tecumseh Curves. Last week I lost two more pounds. This gives me a total of 97 pounds lost! I am trying to really meet all of my goals. One of my goals is getting enough sleep. I have had trouble getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Sleep is just as important as eating right and getting enough exercise. If we do not get enough sleep, our bodies don’t have the time to relax and recuperate from the day. Not getting enough sleep could also cause a weight gain. I have had this issue and I thought it was because I was not eating enough or not working out enough – because these are also some of the challenges I face. I am hoping to meet my goal of 100 pounds this next week. So if I meet all of my goals, I know that I will be celebrating that exciting goal of losing the three pounds and reaching 100 pounds lost! That could be a whole person when you think about it. These are huge accomplishments, but I know I still have a journey in front of me. I need to remember what is important and what I have done to reach the 100 pound loss mark. I will keep up the habits I have created and focus only on positive things around me. I know that I will and can continue to walk this journey of a life change. I hope everyone has a great week!
